Give to the hotel/restaurant a CD of the music that she really likes, to be played (if possible), otherwise bring a boom box which that CD, while she is in the bathroom, start playing that music, or place the boom box under the dinner table and play that special music as soon the dinner is served. The best part is not to tell her where you are taking her. Believe me, you will make her Valentine's Day. If you prefer stay at home, arrange to have dinner cooked by a caterer, have the orchid delivered after work (if she is working), set the table yourself, play that special music as soon she enters the dining room. Place a rose on the pillow with a romantic note telling her how much you love her. If there are kids, arrange to have the kids with the baby-sitter.
